If I already have an Ag permit for my vehicle, am I required to get the Special Vehicle Use Permit?

If you are doing Ag-related business only on County roads and have an Ag permit, then no. If you will be using your vehicle for any recreational purpose on County roads, then yes you need a Special Vehicle Use permit.

Can I use the permit for my other ATV?

No. Each permit is vehicle specific. If you have more than one ATV, UTV, Mini Truck, and/or Motorized Golf Cart, each will need its own permit.

How do I know if I have a Class I ATV, Class II ATV, or UTV?

Class I ATV’s have an engine displacement of less than 1,000 cubic centimeters and total dry weight of less than 1,000 pounds.

Class II ATV’s have an engine displacement of less than 1,000 cubic centimeters and total dry weight of 1,000 to 1,800 pounds.

UTV’s have an engine displacement of 1,200 cubic centimeters and total dry weight of 1,800 to 2,600 pounds.
