Housekeeping Services Bids

The Renville County HRA is requesting proposals to provide housekeeping services for Centennial Apartments in Franklin, MN. Services may also include turn-over housekeeping for eight single-family, two and three bedroom homes located in Sacred Heart, Morton, and Franklin, as needed between renters. Proposal guidelines can be obtained from the HRA office at 507-637-4004 or amanda@radc.org. Proposals are due to the HRA office at 200 S. Mill St. P.O. Box 481 Redwood Falls, MN by 4:30 p.m. on February 20, 2018. Small, minority-owned and woman-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. The Renville County HRA practices Equal Opportunity Contracting.

CSAH 3 Minnesota River Bridge Closure During an underwater inspection of a bridge located on Renville CSAH 3 over the Minnesota River, just east of Franklin, severe erosion under one of the piers was detected.  Due to the severity of this problem, this bridge will remain closed until further notice.  Should you have any questions, please contact the Renville County Public Works Department at (320) 523-3759.

Minnesota River Valley Recreation and Conservation Master Plan

The draft Minnesota River Valley Recreation and Conservation Master Plan is available for a 30-day public comment period. The Master Plan can be found at www.mnrivervalleymasterplan.org.  Comments about the plan can be sent to Comment@MNRiverValleyMasterPlan.org through June 8, 2017. Printed copies of the plan are available for loan at the Renville County Environmental Office in Olivia, the Redwood County Environmental Office in Redwood Falls, the Redwood Falls Public Library and the Lower Sioux Environmental office in Morton.

A public open house will also be held June 8th to receive written comments about the Master Plan. The open house will be held at the Redwood Falls Public Library community room from 4:30 p.m.to 7:30 p.m.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHEET (EAW) - ZASKE (GRAVEL) MINE
Renville County is accepting comments on the Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) prepared for the expansion and operation of the Zaske nonmetallic mineral (gravel) mine as excavation will exceed 40 acres of land to a mean depth of 10 feet or more, which requires the need for a mandatory EAW based on Minnesota Rules 4410.4300, Subp. 12.B.  The mining site is located in Sections 23 and 24 of Sacred Heart (South) Township, Renville County, Minnesota.

A required 30-day comment period will run between February 20, 2017, and March 22, 2017.  Comments must be submitted during the review period and should be addressed to:

Please join us for a public workshop to discuss opportunities to expand outdoor recreation and conserve natural & cultural resources in the Minnesota River Valley (MRV) area within Redwood and Renville Counties. This project seeks to strengthen and diversify the local economy while respecting private lands and conserving the heritage of the region. Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Redwood and Renville Counties are collaborating to create the first MRV Recreation and Conservation Master Plan. PUBLIC PRESENTATION

On April 12, 2016, based upon a recommendation of the Lake Allie ESSD Advisory Council, the Renville County Board of Commissioners approved a contract with ISG to prepare a Capital Improvement Plan for the Lake Allie ESSD Wastewater Treatment Facility.  The Capital Improvement Plan will provide anticipated expenditures for use in budgeting and informing the users of the system of the expected needs based upon the reasonable remaining life cycle of each component.  A public presentation of the Plan to the Renville County Board of Commissioners and Lake Allie ESSD Advisory Council will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in Suite 313 of the Renville County Government Services Center, 105 South 5th Street, Olivia, Minnesota.  ISG will recap the work outlined in the Plan and field any questions from staff or the public.

Minnesota River Valley Recreation and Conservation Master Plan

Please visit the Minnesota River Valley Recreation and Conservation Master Plan webpage to participate in an online survey (questionnaire). It will take just 5-10 minutes to answer some questions which will help us develop ideas for outdoor recreation and conservation in the Minnesota River Valley. If you have specific comments on issues or opportunities, feel free to also send us an email. The survey will only be online for a short time so don’t wait to participate!

Materials from the Sept. 27 & 28 public workshops are also now available on the workshop tab. Meeting note will be posted on the Workshop tab as soon as they are completed.
