Families can expect to pay about 30% of their gross monthly income for rent with the remaining rent paid to the landlord by the Housing Authority. The rent and tenant paid utilities need to be at or below the Payment Standard for the unit size you are allowed to rent basis on family size. Housing is available in the cities and rural areas of Renville County. Applicants may remain in their present unit or may move to a different unit. At this time the Housing Choice Voucher program waiting list is open on a limited basis and accepting applications from those with a preference point.
