You may walk in without an appointment for any motor vehicle,
standard drivers license renewal and DNR transactions:
Monday - Friday 8:00am- 4:15pm
Please note Real ID and Enhanced Drivers License Applications will
only be accepted Monday-Friday 8:00am- 3:45pm
Prorate transactions are still by appointment only.

Monday-Friday: 8:30 am- 11:00am, 1:30pm-3:00pm
30 min appointments are allotted, please make sure you have everything you need for your appointment.

Our office does not open new accounts or file quarterly fuel reports.
We will continue to use the Drop box (located outside the North side of the court house) for Passenger Tab Renewals only. If you are due for a 7 year replacement plate (your renewal notice will state this) Please come in and see us,

Exam station is open Wednesdays by appointment only.
Please visit drive.mn.gov to set up an appointment for your test.
The new Real ID license will be required for travel beginning May 3, 2023 within the United States.

The License Department handles transactions dealing with motor vehicles, International Registration Plan Accounts, drivers license and identification cards, as well as watercraft, snowmobile and ATV licenses.
