Commissioner Randy Kramer resides on a farm northeast of Bird Island where he has raised corn, soybeans, sugar beets, peas and sweet corn for more than 40 years. He graduated from Bird Island-Lake Lillian High School and Willmar Vo-Tech with a degree in Ag Farm Operations and Management and has attended several continuing education courses to improve his knowledge as a commissioner. He and his wife, Linda, have two adult daughters, Leah and Rachel. Kramer began representing District 1 as a Renville County Commissioner in January of 2013 with goals of serving the public, giving back to his community and helping guide policy for moving Renville County forward. He feels honored to serve as a commissioner and looks forward to further serving his constituents.

Kramer is currently a member of the Minnesota Farm Bureau, Farmers Union, Corn Growers Association, and Soybean Growers Association.
Past service includes local corn and soybean boards, Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Coop (SMBSC), Minnesota Farm Bureau, a past board member and chair of the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR), and a past chair of the Environment Committee for the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC).
